Consultation Your comfortable integration into this process is a priority for a Form&Function personal trainer. Your first meeting with us will always be a consult designed to inform you of the particulars of the service as well as give us information we can use to begin a unique program design. We want to know what your goals are, and how your history can help or hurt you. We want to know about medical issues to avoid or improve upon. We want to help you decide what amount and frequency of exercise is realistic for your lifestyle and goals. We aim to learn as much as possible so your training experience is as personalized as possible. We wish to avoid generics as much as we can. Workout Routines Your routines are generally going to consist of 60 minutes, however, 30, 90, and 120 minute workouts are also a possibility. Within this time we will complete the warm-up, workout, cool-down, stretching, corrective exercise, and any necessary discussion related to our goals. In your first few workouts, we will be paying special attention to your strengths, weaknesses, flexibility, posture, and balance as well as your mental and psychological responses. Routines will frequently change and new exercise will be presented as you generate more confidence and ability in your movements. The rate of progression depends on you, your discipline outside the gym, and your body's ability to adapt to the stress. This means that we won't try to kill you the first day, and we might push you really hard after you become accustomed to the intensity and structure. We will teach you everything you need to know, but again, the rate of progression depends on you. Education Throughout your experience your trainer will act as your live resource. Anything you need to know can be directed toward your trainer in and outside the gym. We want to educate you on all the aspects of this process so you feel more comfortable when you workout alone, more comfortable choosing meal and snack options, and more comfortable completing homework independently. We want to make it clear that there is a personal commitment outside the personal training sessions. Ultimately, everything from the actual exercises to the time you spend on relative work outside the gym will be tailored to your needs. We will attempt to control as many aspects as we can so you feel supported in this process. We may recommend that you change many major aspects in your life so you look, feel, and perform better.
